"The Watchmen" - Haines, Alaska
In this classic view of Haines, the spirit
of the village watchmen are found in the reflective tidal pool
and keep and eye upon the historic Fort Wm H. Seward, Alaska's first permanent
army base.
The Chilkat Range looms in the background, and an eagle keeps sentry from his
rocky perch.

Chilkoot Spirit
This brown bear sow is fishing for salmon in the glacier fed
waters of Chilkoot Lake, near Haines Alaska.

Spirit of the Cubs
These twin brown bear cubs were born in the winter of 2010
outside Haines, Alaska.
They spent the summer learning how to fish and forage in the area of Chilkoot
State Park.
Here they are seen in a playful moment on the banks of the Chilkoot River.
